1.0 Adoption of Plan

1.1 The Board of Trustees shall adopt and maintain a classification plan showing the relative salary ranges for all positions in the classified service. (Education Code §§ 88003; 88004; 88009)

2.0 Specifications for Position Classes

2.1 Specifications for each position class shall be established by Personnel Services and approved by the Chancellor/Superintendent or designee.

3.0 Position Allocation

3.1 Upon the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor, Personnel, the Chancellor/Superintendent or designee shall allocate every position in the classified service to one of the classes established in the classification plan. (Education Code § 88004)
