American graphic artist and designer Emory Douglas will be speaking live at the American River College main campus in Raef Hall 160. This event with Q&A is open to the public, free of charge.
Douglas was the Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party from 1967 to the 1980s. He created some of the most iconographic art of that time. His work was recently featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in an exhibition titled "Emory Douglas: Art and Revolution."
