Among the metrics Los Rios tracks for our career education programs is the ratio of students attaining the district county living wage following the academic year of exit (that is, for a single adult who did not transfer to any postsecondary institution). For Los Rios Community College District, the result is 73%, which compares to 55% statewide for California community colleges (CCCCO Launchboard, 2017-2018).

A living wage provides income to adequately cover all basic needs, such as food, childcare, housing, and healthcare. The North/Far North Center of Excellence recommends the Insight Family Needs Calculator for employers interested in hiring Los Rios interns and graduates at a competitive wage.
